Happy Halloween

The jury is out...Emma is either a Duck or a Chick...so, meet our "DuckChick!". Today has been a busy but fun day. Mommy got her haircut this morning along with Emma. (1st official haircut). Then we headed to Mommy's old school to visit the teachers and kids. Emma just had a ball...she waddled around like she owned the place. Didn't bother her that she was wearing her costume. All the kids of course chuckled and commented and Emma just ate it up. She laughed right along with them. LOL After making our way home for lunch...she is now sacked out in her little bed. Let's hope she takes a great nap before our big family night tonight. :) Will post more later of tonight's pictures. Daddy hasn't even seen her get up yet...he will love it. :) Enjoy the trick-or-treaters...drink lots of warm cider.

Daily Discoveries

Today Emma climbed up to the couch via her little push car. She was so proud of herself. Sitting there...looking at me with those big blue eyes like...look mama...I did it!! :) Without freaking out...I quickly made my way to the couch and gently removed her from the top. LOL In addition, Emma climbed on top of a big blue tub that is holding her summer clothes. Again...she was extremely proud of her greatest accomplishment.

While making treats for Halloween yesterday I thought Emma might enjoy baking with me so I gave her a metal bowl and a couple of other kitchen gadgets. I believe she is going to be a great cook/baker just like her mommy. Watch the video to see how much fun she had in the kitchen today. Of course...I was good to get a little done for about 15 minutes. LOL
PS...I haven't quite figured out how to rotate the video yet. LOL

Wishing for Snow!

Emma decided to take her snow boots out of the closet today and thought she needed to wear them. I was fortunate to catch a great pic of her as she was modeling them. Of course she thought that she should go "bye bye" while wearing them...hence the pic by the gate. LOL
Today was filled with chores around the house and a couple of errands. We were blessed to have Great Grandpa, Great Grandma, and Aunt Emily eat dinner with us tonight. Our dinner was yummy and comforting. Followed by a warm chocolate cookie...always need a little chocolate fix now and then. :)
Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jimmy get married in 5 days...mommy is already beginning to pack (making lists) for the big weekend.

Adorable

In the craziness of day to day life...it is nice to stop for a moment and enjoy what God has given you. Emma is such a joy...such a blessing. I captured this pic of the two of us on Friday morning...she still smiles even with no one to smile at. (Mommy took the pic with an outstretched arm). The other pic is of Emma lovingly looking at her daddy. Life is full of wonder. :)

Everyday Craziness

This weekend has been a whirlwind...fun, but crazy. Thursday we went to a mission banquet with some good friends of ours. Friday we went to the Quails Unlimited dinner and had a rockin' good time. Saturday I went to Scrapbooking while Emma hung out with daddy all day. In the evening we went to church for the Chili cookoff. Emma had a ball running all over and eating great food. Wouldn't you know it...my chili was chosen as the best chili. WooHoo. My prize was an apron that my mom embroidered. Sunday has been a day to get one million and one things done. Have you ever woke up at 4 in the morning and had so many things running through your head that you actually started writing them down on paper?? Well, I ended up with 21 to do's for today. Whooo...after I submit this post I can cross one item off the list. :) We are finally all healed and back to good health. We are gearing up for the busy, busy week ahead.
I have posted the chili recipe for you to try this week. It is great for a cool fall evening. Can be put in the crockpot...but, can also be put on the stove for a quick meal.
